Setting Procedure

Creating a Form

Create a form to input students’ scores. As shown in the image below:

You need to enter data and only the recorded data can be displayed in the dashboard.

Creating a Dashboard - Detail Table

Create a dashboard.

Name the dashboard, select Detail Table, and select the form you just created as the data source.

Setting Access

After selecting the form to be displayed, set Access for members. Data access involves what data members can view when they open the form.

By setting different access, members view different data:

Access

Description

All Data

Members can view all the data and all the display fields in the detail table.

Including field and data access:

① Field Access (Column): View the field data in the form which is set Display Fields in the detail table.

② Data Access (Row): View the data that can access in the form and are displayed in the detail table.

  • If you want members to view and manage the data according to the existing access in the form, you can select Same As Member.
  • If you want members to view all data, you can select All Form Data.

Adding Calculated Fields

If you need to perform simple calculations on the form fields, you can add calculated fields, which can be displayed in the detail table.

For example, the total score can be calculated and displayed based on the results of each subject.

Notes: Calculated fields can only calculate numbers. Calculations support arithmetic operators, which are additions (+), subtractions (-), multiplications (*), and divisions (/), and do not support functions.

Adding Display Fields

Add field data to Display Field. When members view the detail tables, they can see the displayed data fields. You can click  next to Display Field to add the display fields, click Select All to add fields, or tick the fields one by one.

You can drag and drop fields on the left panel to Display Fields and drag and drop them to adjust the display order.

You can add all fields in the form, all system fields (Created User, Created Time, and Updated Time), and the calculated fields that have been added.

Filters

You can set Filters to display only part of the data that needs to be displayed.

Configuring Settings

You have completed the basic configuration in the above steps, and you can further understand how to configure deeper functions.

Action

There are two types of Action:

Action

Description

Export data

Members can export visible detail data.

Print multiple records

You can print multiple detailed records.

Use member permissions on handling single record

Include:

  • Set Displayed Fields
  • Delete
  • Copy
  • Change Workflow Approver
  • End Workflow
  • Re-activate
  • Edit
  • Check Underlying Data

If you select Use member permissions on handling single record and set corresponding permissions in the form, members can perform related operations after clicking the single data details and click Check Underlying Data.

In the underlying data, members can view all permitted fields and perform permitted operations.

Data Display

Data Display can set Display Serial No. and Display First N line(s).

  • Display Serial No.: Add a number in front of the data for sorting.
  • Display First N line(s): If you sort the data, the first N data will be displayed in the order of sorting. If you do not set the sort of data, the first N data will be displayed in the order of form data.

In the figure below, you set Display Serial No. and Display First 3 line(s). Then when you sort the total grades in descending order, you can get the grades and ranking of the top 3 students.

Column Freezing

Column Freeze is to fix the column dimension. When you need to slide left and right to view the data, the frozen column dimension data does not follow the table to move, always displayed in the line of sight. For details, see Dimension Freeze.

For details: Dimension Freeze.

Conditional Formatting

The table chart component can be color-matched by conditional formatting, which supports three color-matching methods: Data Range, Gradient Color, and Progress Bar. For details, see Setting Conditional Formatting.

Styles

Different chart components support setting different styles.

The detail table style supports:

  • setting background color and title color.
  • setting the table's theme color, table header text color, content color, and alignment.

For details, see Component Style.
