Introduction

Feature(s)

Through default or customized templates, you can print the form data that has been submitted, and this is useful for you to view or manage data.

Application Scenario(s)

  • In the case of personnel management, you need to send offers to the employees who have passed the interview. Then you can customize an offer template. After the employees submit their personal information, offers will be generated automatically.
  • In the case of product management, you can summarize and organize product information through default templates.

Template Types

There are two kinds of print templates:

  • Customized print template: You can set print styles as needed and print data through Excel print templates.
  • Default print template: This is the default print style. You can print data through the default print/print form.

Where to Set

Customized Print Template

Select a form, and go to Extension > Print Templates. Click New Print Template, and then you can design an Excel template.

On this page, you can also perform the following operations to adjust the preset templates:

  • Edit: Modify the template.
  • Print Template Settings: Set the application scope and name of the template file. For details, see Application Scope.
  • Copy: Copy the template to the current form or another form.
  • Delete: Delete the template.

System Print

You cannot adjust the style of a default print template. For details, see System Print.

Where to Apply Print Template(s)

You can use customized print templates and default print templates in the following scenarios:

  • Add and Manage My Data, Manage All Data, and View All Data in preset permission sets.
  • Custom permission sets.
  • Manage Data in forms.
  • Public Query Link.
  • Share Link for a Record.
  • Form internal links.

What Fields Can Be Printed

You can only print fields that you have permission to view. This means these fields are ticked under View for your permission set, configured in Publish > To Members.

1. Preset permission sets.

In the following permission sets, all the fields are visible.

  • Add and Manage My Data
  • Manage All Data
  • View All Data

2. Custom permission sets.

Click Add Member, and you can customize a permission set. In this sense, the visible fields are those ticked under View in Fields.
