Sorting in the Pivot Table

Sorting Rules

1. When sorting fields in Dim.(Row), if field A is not at the Nth position initially, you can drop and drag it to the Nth position after setting the sorting rules. In this case, the sorting rule of field A is retained regardless of whether the sorting rule is set for any measure field. If a sorting rule is set for a measure field, the sorting rule will be automatically deleted.

2. When sorting fields in Dim.(Col), you can drop and drag field B to the Nth position. If no sorting rule is set for field B, then the existing sorting rule will be retained. If a sorting rule has been set for field B, then it will be retained regardless of whether the sorting rule is set for any measure field and the former sorting rule of other fields will be automatically deleted.

3. If there are N fields in Dim.(Row), then there is only one field can be sorted. If you set a sorting rule for field B after setting a sorting rule for field A, the sorting rule of field A will be automatically deleted.

Application Scenarios

In education management, teachers have to rank the total score of each student of each class in each grade. Classes and grades also need to be sorted by the sequence number.

Grades and classes are sorted in ascending order, and total scores are sorted in descending order.
