Input

Introduction

Functions

An input node is the first node in Data Stream, through which you input data and select the data source that should be processed. You can tick any field you need when selecting the data source.

Application Scenarios

If you need to make calculations in a form, you can click the input node and select the form in Add Input Source. In Data Factory, you can select a form/workflow form in the current or another app.

Preview

After clicking New Data Stream, you will notice that an input node has been set by default. You can click the node to set Add Input Source.

Setting Procedure

Where to Set

After adding a new data stream, add an input node. If you need to make calculations in multiple data sources, drag more input nodes from the left panel.

Selecting Input Source

Click the input node and select a form in Add Input Source, in which you need to make calculations.

If there are multiple subforms in the form you select, you can only select one subform for each input node.

After selecting a form, click the input node to view the input source.

Entering Node Name

Unlike other nodes in Data Stream, the name of the input node should be the same as that of the selected form and you cannot change the input node name.

If you change the input source, the input node name will change accordingly.

Changing Input Source

If you need to change the input source, click the input node and then click Change Input Source.

Rules

1. You can add multiple input nodes for each data stream. Therefore, you can process and make calculations in multiple forms you set as the input source.

2. You can select the data of a form in the current or another app for the input node. But you cannot do that in an aggregate table.

3. There must be one processing node between the input node and the output node.

4. If there are multiple subforms in the form you select, you can only select one subform for each input node. If you need to use the data from multiple subforms, add more input nodes.

5. If you select the fields of a form and a subform at the same time, the records in the form with multiple sub-form records will be split into pieces of data.
