Q: Can the data obtained via the Query Data field be saved in forms?

No. Data obtained via Query Data will not be saved in database. It means the data will not be saved in forms, and will not be displayed on the Manage Data page.


Q: Can the data obtained via the Select Data field be saved in forms?

Yes. Fields with Data Filling can be saved in forms. Display Fields are only used for display and are not stored in forms.


Q: Can I set the width or height for the Query Data field separately?

When you design forms, width and height of fields obtained via Query Data cannot be modified independently because they are set by default. But you can set the overall field column in Form Layout. When filling forms, you can only manually modify the field width, not the height.


Q: Can the width or height of the Select Data field be set separately?

The width and height of Select Data fields in a form cannot be modified. But you can set the overall field column in Form Layout.

For Select Data fields in subforms, you cannot modify the width and height of the fields when designing forms because they are set by default. When filling forms, you can only modify the field width on the data selecting page that pops up, not the field height.


Q: Is it required to add filtering conditions for the Query Data field?

Yes. Data can be filtered out only when filtering conditions are added. Otherwise, the content of Query Data will be empty.


Q: Can Data Factory output forms be used as linked forms for Select Data and Query Data fields?

Output forms of a data factory can be used as linked forms for Query Data, but cannot be linked forms for Select Data.


Q: Why can't a subform field be selected as a display field for the Select Data field?

Select Data fields in a form can display subform fields, but those in subforms cannot.


Q: How can you select multiple fields via the Select Data field?

After adding a Select Data field to a subform, you can select multiple records when selecting data. Only one record can be selected from Select Data each time in a form.


Q: Can multiple filtering conditions of Query Data or Select Data be "Or"?

Yes. The relationship among multiple filtering conditions can be all of and any of.

  • All of: The relationship among multiple filtering conditions is "and". It means that only data that meets all conditions can be displayed.
  • Any of: The relationship among multiple filtering conditions is "or". It means that the data that meets any of the added conditions can be displayed.
