Views in Permission Sets on PC
Introduction
Feature Overview
For some permission sets, form data can be displayed in different views after filtering based on certain conditions.
In Views, you can customize the views in which data are presented.
There are four types of views on PC: Grid, Kanban, Gallery, and Gantt.
Scenario(s)
View Type | Application Scenario |
You can use the grid view to present a tabular view of data. This is often applied when you need to view multiple data at once.
You can use the Kanban view when data needs to be displayed in groups. For example, for customer management, you need to display customers' information according to their regions.
You can use the gallery view to display data in the style of cards. This is often applied to display product information, project information, and so on.
You can use the Gantt view to display data as a progress bar. This is commonly used in project management, work plan, project plan, and so on. |

Where to Set
Creating View(s)
1. Select a form, and click Edit.
Then go to Publish > Views, and click New View to create a view.
2. In addition to creating views in Publish > Views, an admin with corresponding view permissions can also create views by clicking New in the permission set.
Setting View(s)
1. Rename the view. This helps distinguish between views when multiple views are used for a permission set.
2. Select the device to use this view. You can choose PC or Mobile.
3. Specify the view type. You can choose Grid, Kanban, Gallery, or Gantt under Type.

5. Design the view. You can make specific view settings under the corresponding view, such as Row Height under the Grid.
6. Set default sorting rules and filter conditions. This is optional.
After all the settings, click Save.
Application Scope
Views can currently be applied to regular form/workflow form permissions. When members access data through relevant permission sets, they can choose different views to view the data.
Therefore, after the views are set, you need to specify which permission sets can use this view.
1. Set application scope directly after designing a view.
Directly set the application scope after creating and saving the view.
2. Set application scope later in Views.
Click and then click Select Permission Sets.
3. Set application scope in permission sets.
You can configure the view under permission sets. Go to Publish > To Members, click Other Settings, select Views, then you can make settings according to your needs.
Applying View(s)
After switching to the permission set where they can view and manage data, members can view the form through different views.
