URL Parameter

Introduction

Feature(s)

After enabling Form Fill Link, click Advanced to set URL Parameter. It can be used to add different customized attribute values at the end of the form fill links to generate multiple links. These links can be published on different channels to distinguish the source of collected information.

Application Scenario(s)

  • In distribution, different URL parameters can be added to distinguish data collected from different channels, and you can conveniently check the data source after the information is collected.
  • In school management, different URL parameters can be set for each class, then you can conveniently check information reports of each class after the information is collected.
  • In enterprise management, different URL parameters can be set for branches in each region, then you can conveniently check the communication information of each branch after the information is collected.

Preview

After members submit information, admins can know the source of data submitted through the URL Parameter in Manage Data.

Setting Procedure

Enabling the Public Link

Select a form where you want to add URL Parameter and enable Form Fill Link in Publish > To All.

Enabling URL Parameter

Click Advanced and enable URL Parameter.

Configuring URL Parameter

1. Add URL parameters.

Enter the corresponding URL Parameter for the link and click Add.

2. Validate duplicate values.

URL parameters support validating duplicate values, so duplicate URL parameters cannot be added to the link.

3. Retrieve URL parameters.

a. Retrieved as form fields.

If you enable URL Parameter and add several parameters, you can retrieve URL Parameter as a form field in the following five scenarios:

  • Formula
  • Data Linkage
  • Add filters in Select Data and Query Data
  • Add conditions in Validations on form submission
  • Node validations in workflows

b. Here are the field types that support URL Parameter being retrieved as a form field in different scenarios.

Batch Edit

1. Add URL parameters in batches.

Click Batch, and you can add multiple URL parameters in batches.

2. Validate duplicate values.

In Batch, if multiple identical URL parameters are entered, only the upper one will be kept after you click OK.

Demonstration

After URL parameters are configured, you can copy the form link or save the QR code and send it to people in different regions to fill out the form.

Note(s)

1. You can set up to 5,000 URL parameters in one form.

2. URL parameters added previously will also be displayed in Batch.
