A bar chart is a horizontal presentation of the column chart, with a number of narrow bars used to represent various quantities.

Application Scenarios

A bar chart can be used to show the comparison between different data, for example, to illustrate the progress of different members in a project group, and the sales figures of different products in each quarter.
