Data drilling in a stats is to display aggregated data in a chart. When a user clicks a column, line, or sector in the chart, corresponding data from the data source form is displayed.

Data drilling can meet the data requirements of different rules for the same measure. Decision makers can find specific reasons for problems by drilling down detailed data.

Use Conditions

You can drill down detailed data from the data source in all types of charts. On the basis of satisfying the Stats, the data source must also be a form/workflow form in this app or in other apps. Data cannot be drilled down if the data source is from a data factory or an aggregate table.

Setting Procedure

Where to Set

Go to any stats in a dashboard and tick Check Underlying Data in Settings > Underlying Data. Clicking the data in the chart, the user can view the detailed data from the data source form.

Permission Rules

After setting Enable Data Drilling, you need to ensure that members have appropriate data permissions in the data source form, or they cannot access the drilled data.

If members have permissions to edit and manage data in the permission set, they can also edit, update, create, and delete data after setting Enable Data Drilling.

Click the data you wish to drill to view more details. Then the corresponding data from the original form you have permission to view will be displayed directly.

Quick-edit in the Form

Enable Quick-edit in the data source form, and you can edit the data directly of the table drilled down in the stats.
