Setting up Apps


Before, you have already known how to create and manage your App(s). Then, this passage can tell you some basic settings for an App.

Prerequisite

To configure basic settings for an App, you should get permission to manage an App. If you haven’t done this, you can let your team leader go to the permission center to grant you this permission.

Where to Set App(s)?

In Workspace, the permitted admin can view  when hovering the mouse pointer over an app, click it to set it.

What can you Do when Setting up App(s)?

1. Modifying App Information

a. Click Edit Information to set Name, Group, and Icon.

b. When you change the icon, there are two types: Pre-built and Custom. You need to meet the following conditions when setting the Custom icon:

  • Image file types: JPG, JPEG, and PNG
  • Image size: smaller than 20 MB

2. Copying an App

a. If you need to create an App called Personnel Information and there is another App called Personnel Management with a similar business, you can copy the Personnel Management app and change its information to launch Personnel Information App.

Notes:

When you copy an App, the data in the app will not be copied.

The status of relevant settings in the App is shown as follows:

Automations

After copying the configurations of Automations in the original App, Automations will be automatically closed in the new App.

Notifications

After copying the configurations of Notifications in the original App, Notifications will be automatically closed in the new App.

Webhook

After copying the configurations of Webhook in the original App, Webhook will be automatically closed in the new App.

Dashboard – Reminder

After copying the configurations in Dashboard Reminder in the original App, Dashboard Reminder will be automatically closed in the new App.

3. Deleting/Restoring an App

a. Delete an App.

You can delete an App only after inputting its name manually.

b. Restore an App.

4. Sorting Apps

Only the Owner and Admin can sort apps. Select and drag an App to sort it.

5. Visiting an App

Click the App directly in Workspace to visit it. Click an App name, and then click Workspace in the upper left corner to return to Workspace.

6. Switching Apps

a. Switching in Workspace

After visiting an App, click  and then Workspace in the upper left corner, go back to the Workspace page and click another App.

b. Switching between Apps

When you visit an App, click  in the upper left corner to view all the Apps in Workspace. Click the App you want to switch to, and then you can directly visit it.

7. Accessing My Favorites Directly

Click  to access My Favorites directly when you visit Apps. If you add your frequently used Apps to My Favorites, you can switch between businesses without returning to the Workspace page.

8. Searching for an App

In Jodoo, you can search for Apps in the following two ways.

a. In Workspace > My Apps, search for Apps in Workspace directly in the search box on the right panel.

b. After visiting an App, search for the App in the App list by clicking  in the upper left corner and input one App name.

9. Collapsing/Expanding the App List

When you visit an App, you can collapse or expand the current App list by clicking the Collapse/Expand button on the right side of the App list. It is convenient for members to fill in, view, and manage the form data.
