Conditional Workflow

Introduction

Functions

There are multiple branches in workflows. How data circulate is decided by workflow conditions set. Such kind of workflow is called the conditional workflow.

Application Scenarios

Use the conditional workflow when different data need different circulating ways.

For example, in the office supplies application workflow, when the number of applications is more than 10, it needs to be approved and confirmed by the chargeman. If the number is less than 10, it can be directly circulated to internal affairs department to approve.

When the application number of the products is more than 10, it needs to be first approved by the chargeman and then turned to internal affaris department. When the application number is less than 10, it can be directly circulated to internal affairs department to approve.

Setting Procedure

Detailed Rules

  • After data is submitted in the last node, it will judge workflow conditions and enter all nodes meeting all conditions.
  • Set workflow conditions by clicking connections. Connections without conditions will be in blue. Connections with conditions will be in purple.
  • If there are no settings on workflow conditions, data will directly proceed to the current node.
  • If there are relevant settings on workflow conditions, data can proceed to the current node only when meeting all conditions. If you have set conditions to Excluded by other nodes, data will proceed to nodes with this condition when all other branches do not meet workflow conditions.

Setting Condition

Select a workflow form. Click Edit.

1. Condition 1

Click Node Connections to set workflow conditions.

When the application number is more than 5, the workflow will be circulated to Chargeman Approval node to approve.

The number can be modified according to practical needs.

2. Condition 2

Select another node connection, set the condition to Excluded by other nodes, and click Save.

Data will be circulated to the node when conditions of other nodes at the same level are not met.

Demonstration

Click the workflow form set before and submit a workflow whose duration is greater than five.

The workflow enters the Chargeman Approval node.

Notes

1. Set workflow conditions for each branch if there are multiple branches.

2. The workflow cannot be circulated normally when the conditions do not cover all workflows.

3. The workflow will enter multiple branches at the same time and be approved separately when it meets multiple workflow conditions.
