Block Notifications

Introduce how to set block notifications.

Updated this week

What is the Blocking Notifications?

Block Notifications allows for the blocking of message reception for certain members while a whitelist of apps is created, which ensures that important message notifications and to-do workflow reminders from certain apps can bypass the blocking. This effectively reduces unnecessary disturbances.

What Does It Look Like?

If a member is set to only receive notifications from the app, Jodoo Tutorial, and he/she is also the node approver for a workflow form from another app, Vehicle Management, the workflow initiator will receive a prompt: Failed to submit. Couldn't find the approver for the next node after submitting a record.

Prerequisite

  • This is an advanced feature that requires the standard or above plans. For details, see Pricing, or contact our Sales Team.

How to Set Block Notifications?

Step 1 Entering the Setting Page

Go to Account Center, and click Management. On this page, click Business Settings, and under Business Collaboration, you will see Block Notifications.

Click Settings to add members to the block list.

Step 2 Adding Member

Click Add Member, and select the members to block.

Step 3 Selecting Apps

After adding members to the block list, you can choose which apps they can receive notifications.

  • If you select Apps to receive notifications, the member will only receive notifications from those apps.

  • If no apps are selected from the drop-down list, the member will not receive notifications from any app.

For example, after setting the member, Jodoo Official, to only receive notifications from the Development Project Management app, she will only receive notifications from that app, and will only participate in the collaboration of that application, including workflow approvals.

When to Block Notifications?

In scenarios with a large number of members and the possibility of duplicate names, using Block Notifications can prevent notifications from being sent to the wrong members, thereby improving work efficiency and information accuracy.
