Node Approver

Introduce what is the node approver in short.

Updated over 10 months ago

What is the Node Approver?

An approver is responsible for receiving and reviewing data in a workflow. You can add several approvers to each node.

What Does It Look Like?

Take the vehicle application form as an example: After you set an approver at a workflow node, the workflow will flow to the approver you selected for approval.

How to Set the Node Approver?

Step 1 Entering the Setting Page

Select a workflow form and click Workflow. Then select a task node and go to Node Properties > Basic to set the approver.

Note:

You cannot set approvers for the start or end nodes.

Step 2 Choosing the Approval Type

There are two types of approval:

  • Regular Approval: You can set an approver for each node. Then the workflow will flow to the corresponding approver for approval.

  • Sequential Approval: After you initiate a workflow, sequential approval allows the workflow to transfer from your direct department head to the approval endpoint within a task node.

When to Set the Node Approver?

  • In the case of material procurement, set a procurement manager as the approver to review procurement applications.

  • In the case of new product development, set multiple department heads as the approvers to review products.
