What is Select Data to Fill?
Select Data to Fill is a Front-End Event triggered by a button. It allows you to use data from forms, data streams, aggregate tables as data sources and fill the selected data into the current Jodoo form.
This feature helps reduce the risks associated with manual data entry, minimize errors, ensure data consistency, and improve business management efficiency.
When to Use Select Data to Fill?
Select Data to Fill is suitable for scenarios where members need to select processed or calculated data in a form for subsequent business processes. For example:
Production management: Select data calculated based on a BOM.
Financial management: Select payment data aggregated from multiple business transactions for reconciliation.
Sales management: Select aggregated inventory data.
What Does It Look Like?
For example, when creating a sales order, you can click a button to select calculated inventory data and fill it into the form.
How to Set It Up?
Step 1 Selecting Select Data to Fill
Under Triggered Action, select Select Data to Fill.
Step 2 Selecting a Data Source
Under Data Source, select the data source you need. The following types of data sources are supported:
Form: Data stored in a form.
Data Stream: Data processed and output by a data stream in Data Factory.
Aggregate Table: Real-time data calculated in an aggregate table.
Step 3 Setting the Field Configuration
After selecting the data source, click Field Configuration > Set to configure the fields, data range, and display order on the data selection page. You can preview the configuration in real time on the left.
Step 4 Configuring field mapping
Click Configure Field Mapping > Add Rule. On the Add Field page, map fields from the data source to corresponding fields in the current form. The mapped values are automatically filled in and submitted with the form data.
Notes
If the same field is configured with multiple filling or calculation methods, such as Data Linkage / Formula / AI Quick Filling, Select Data / Lookup data filling, or Front-End Event filling, check the trigger logic carefully.
Avoid triggering multiple methods at the same time, as this may make the final field value unpredictable.
Some field types in the data source do not support filling, including Location, Button, Member, Department, Image, Attachment, Query Data, Select Data, Signature, Serial No., Phone, OCR (Text Recognition), Rich Text, Lookup, Divider, Multi-Tab, and others.
