Custom Plugins

Note:

1. The process for publishing custom plugins is still in testing, so currently it is not possible to publish custom plugins to the market.

2. This feature requires coding skills. If you do not know how to code, you can install plugins from the market or send requests to us.

Introduction

Feature(s)

A custom plugin refers to a user-defined code segment that is called when a specified event occurs in the system. To respond to different events in the system, a plugin can contain multiple code segments. Custom plugins therefore allow Jodoo to work with other third-party platforms.

Application Scenario(s)

Custom plugins can be used to collaborate with third-party platforms. Apart from the plugins provided by Jodoo, you can design custom plugins according to your needs.

Highlight(s)

1. Wide application scenarios.

Custom plugins do not have to rely on APIs, so they have a wider application scenario than API docking.

2. Support reuse.

Plugins developed by the R&D department can be configured in multiple forms. The code of custom plugins can be directly copied, which is convenient for modifying and reusing the code. This also improves the efficiency of designing custom plugins.

3. Lower development costs.

After the R&D department develops the plugin, members can configure and use the plugin. While API integration requires full development and configuration, custom plugins can reduce development costs.

Setting Procedure

Where to Set

In Jodoo, switch to Open Platform, and you can add a custom plugin in Plugin.

After adding a plugin, you can rename it.

Note:

1. A maximum of 500 custom plugins can be added for one company/team.

Designing Plugin(s)

Setting up a custom plugin includes the following three parts: Plugin Properties, Plugin Design, and Save and Debug.

The steps to create a plugin are: New Plugin > Plugin Properties > Plugin Design > Save and Debug.

Plugin Design is the most important step in creating a custom plugin. Only when the plugin is set up properly you can execute the corresponding program through the plugin.

Enabling Plugin(s)

After designing the custom plugin, you can enable the plugin.

Updating Plugin(s)

If the developer needs to update the plug-in, click the three dots on the right side of the plug-in and select Update. In the update plugin details page, upload the package and confirm that the plugin change information is correct. Then click OK to confirm the update.

After clicking View Changes, you will be prompted to enter the code comparison detail page. On the left side of the function, you can see the change logo of the corresponding function. At the same time, you can see the specific code deletion, addition, and other information in the Code Comparison Detail Page.
