What are Field Properties?

Field properties are unique settings for each field, allowing you to customize its appearance and behavior. These properties are crucial for ensuring your fields work exactly how you need them to.

There are unique properties based on field types and common properties such as field name, description, and hint text.

Where to Set Field Properties?

In a form, select a field on the Design page and go to Field Properties to edit the settings:

Except for the Field Name and Description, below are the common field properties frequently used:

Hint Text	Additional explanations for the field.	When collecting customer information, showcase the correct format of phone numbers.
Initial Value	Set the default value of a field.	When making a purchase, set the purchase time to be the time when the form was submitted. When making an item request, set the default approver as the direct lead of the current user.
Formula	60+ spreadsheet-like formulas covering math calculations, logic, text, date, and advanced operations.	Calculate the time between the two dates. Summary of the sales amounts.
Data Linkage	Retrieve data that meets certain conditions from other forms or aggregate tables.	Automatically fill in the product price based on the selected product name.
