Step 3 Setting Measure and Target

1. Set the measure.

Select a field from the Fields panel on the left and drag it to Measure.

Note:

Only one measure can be added to a progress chart.

2. Set the target.

After setting the Target, the progress chart will automatically calculate the percentage of the measured value to the target value and display the completion percentage visually.

There are two ways to set the target value:

  • Enter a target value manually.

  • Add a field from the data source to Target.

a. Enter a target value manually.

If the target value is a fixed number, you can edit the target value manually.

b. Add a field from the data source to Target.

If the target value comes from data in the data source, you can directly drag the corresponding field to Target.

4. Set the progress chart type.

After setting the measure and target, you can choose a desired progress chart type.

There are three types of progress charts:

  • Progress Circle Chart

  • Semi Circle Progress Chart

  • Liquid Fill Chart

5. Set label field.

For a progress chart, Percentage is ticked by default under Label Field, displaying 2 decimal places and named Progress. You can modify it according to your needs.

You can also tick Measure and Target under Show Data Label to display these two values.

Step 4 Designing the Chart Style

Click Chart Style and go to Chart Color to set the visual style of the chart. You can color the progress bar and the background.
