Learn how to assign members permissions

Updated over a week ago

What Is User Permissions for?

  • Publishing a form: assign members permissions to submit or manage form/workflow data.

  • Publishing a dashboard: assign members permissions to view dashboards.

When all forms or dashboards in an app need to be published instantly, you can publish them in App Management.

How to Configure Permissions?

When the admin visits an app, click App Management > User Permissions, select a form or dashboard, and click Add Member to configure permissions.

Note:

Publishing to dept. is to members within it. Publishing to roles is the same.

In addition to assigning preset permissions, a form permission set can be created by adding custom members here.

How to Set Permissions in Batch?

Click Batch Select and you can set permissions in batch to forms/dashboards.

1. Batch settings to multiple types

When forms, workflow forms, and dashboards are set together, only permissions to submit/workflows/dashboards within the app can be set.

2. Batch settings to the same type

If you set permissions for the same type of forms or workflow forms, you can set all the permissions in predefined permission sets in batch at the same time.

How to Disable Permission Sets?

Unnecessary permission sets can be disabled directly so that they are no longer in effect for members.

You can disable one permission set, or click Disable All to disable all permission sets of the whole form/dashboard at a time.

What can Members Granted Permission Do?

When members are granted permission to visit this app, they can:

  • Click the published form to submit/manage data.
