What is Form?

In Jodoo, form is the basic tool used to fill in and collect data. You can use forms to organize your business data and working process more conveniently.

There are two types of forms: regular forms and workflow forms.

What Does It Look Like?

  • Here is an example of creating a form from scratch in an app with existing data.

  • Here is an example of creating a form from Excel files in an app with existing data.

How to Create a Form from Scratch?

When creating a form from scratch, you can add fields, and configure field properties and form properties as needed. Here are two options for you.

Option 1 Creating a Form in an Empty App

Select an empty app, and click New Workflow Form or New Form > Create from Scratch.

Option 2 Creating a Form in the App with Existing Data

Select an app with data, click, and click New Workflow Form or New Form > Create from Scratch.

Forms can also be created directly in a folder. Click the settings button next to the folder name, and click New Workflow Form or New Form > Create from Scratch.

How to Create a Form from Excel Files?

If you have an Excel file, you can use it to create a form. Here are two options for you.

Option 1 Creating a Form in an Empty App

Select an empty app, and click New Workflow Form or New Form > Create from Excel.

Option 2 Creating a form in the App with Existing Data

Select an app with existing data, click the settings button next to the folder name, and click New Workflow Form or New Form > Create from Excel.

Note:

When you create a form by importing an Excel file, the form's default name remains the Excel file's name. If the form name exceeds 100 characters, it cannot be imported directly. You need to reduce the excess characters to import the form successfully manually.
