Workflow Beginner’s Guide

This guide explains two fundamental operations in workflows — initiating a workflow and processing a workflow. Mastering these basics will help you efficiently manage and advance various business tasks.


Initiating a Workflow

If you have Add permission for a workflow form, you can initiate a business workflow.

On Desktop

Method 1 Submitting a workflow in Workflow Center

1. In Workspace, find the Workflow Center component (in either style).

2. Click Initiate Workflow. Find the form you want to use and click Initiate Workflow.

3. In the pop-up window, fill in the form and click Submit.

Note:

The Initiate Workflow page displays all workflow forms for which you have Add permission in Jodoo, allowing you to quickly start workflows.

Method 2 Submitting in "Initiate Now" permission set

Switch to the Initiate Now permission set. Fill in the form and click Submit.

Method 3 Submitting in other permission sets or views

1. Switch to another permission group or view with Add permission.

2. Click the Add button on the left side of the toolbar.

3. Fill in the form and click Submit.

On Mobile

Method 1 Submitting in "Initiate Now" permission set

Under Initiate Now permission set, fill in the form and click Submit.

Method 2 Submitting in other permission sets or views

1. Switch to another permission group or view with Add permission.

2. Click the Add button on the left side of the toolbar.

3. Fill in the form and click Submit.


Processing a Workflow

When a workflow reaches your stage for approval or handling, you can view and process it on the My Tasks page.

On Desktop

1. In My Tasks, click the workflow task to enter its detail page.

2. Review and process it. Then click Submit.

On Mobile

1. In My Tasks, tap the workflow task to enter its detail page.

2. Review and process it. Then click Submit.
