What is the Level View?
The level view presents data with parent–child relationships in a structured, tree-style layout.
It organizes records into expandable and collapsible layers, making it ideal for scenarios involving complex parent–child relationships, such as multi-level BOM, parent–child task management, product categories, and organizational structures.
Prerequisite
This is an advanced and paid feature. If you want to use this feature, contact our Sales Team.
What Does It Look Like?
Members can visit the form and select permission sets to apply the level view.
How to Set the Level View?
Step 1 Creating a View
1. Select a form, and click Edit. Go to Publish > Views, and click New View.
2. In addition to creating views in Publish > Views, an admin with corresponding view permissions can also create views by clicking +New in the permission set.
Step 2 Configuring Basic Settings of a View
On the settings page, you can rename the view. Then select PC, and set the view type to Level.
Step 3 Setting Display Fields
There are two kinds of settings: All Fields and Customize Fields.
All Fields: Display all form fields, including the titles.
Customize Fields: Display some of the form fields.
After selecting Customize Fields, click Add Display Fields to add the fields you want to display.
Step 4 Setting the Row Height
There are three types of row height: Low, Medium, and High. You can preview them in the left area.
Step 5 Sorting fields and records
1. Sorting fields
Field order controls the sequence of fields displayed in permission sets. It refers to the sorting of columns in level views. You can adjust it when setting the view.
Notes:
Field order takes effect only when viewing data through this view. It does not affect the single-record view or form-filling pages.
Field order can be configured only when Custom Display Fields is selected.
2. Sorting records
Record sorting controls how parent and child records are displayed across different levels.
Click +Add under Default Sorting Rules to define custom sorting rules.
Step 6 Adding Filter Conditions
Go to Default Filter Conditions, and add conditions according to your needs.
Step 7 Saving the view and Setting Application Scope
After finishing all settings, click Save. If you save the level view for the first time, you can set its application scope directly. For details, see Views in Permission Sets on PC.
Once the application scope is set, members with the permissions can view the level view within their assigned permission set, as shown below:
When viewing the level view in a permission set, members can click Expand to Level at the bottom of the view to choose how many levels to display.
Members can Expand All/Collapse All when viewing records within permissions.
Notes:
If the amount of filtered data is less than 1000, the default grouping and data are expanded.
If the amount of filtered data is more than 1000, the data will be collapsed by default, and the one-click expand all is not available.
