Plugin maintenance and updates refer to the continuous optimization, fixing, and upgrading of published plugins to ensure that they stay aligned with the latest technical environment, user needs, and platform rules.
Maintenance and updates include fixing known issues, enhancing features, improving performance, strengthening security, and adjusting compatibility. These actions help extend the plugin lifecycle and improve the user experience.
Update a Plugin
1.Submit an Iterative Plugin Update
When a plugin needs to be updated or optimized, follow the steps below:
In the Open Platform, update the plugin code, parameters, pricing plans, and other related settings as needed. After the update is complete, click Update Version to apply to publish a new plugin version.
Enter the Jodoo Open Platform Interconnected Enterprise. In Developer Management App >> Plugin Update Application Form, submit the plugin update information.
Note: Version updates must be reviewed by a Jodoo admin. After the update is approved, the version update is completed and the new version is listed.
2.Handle User Feedback Issues
After receiving user feedback, handle the issue based on the actual situation:
If more information is required from the user, select Cannot reproduce; more information is required. The form will be routed to the user for additional information and then returned to the developer.
If the issue reported by the user is not caused by the plugin itself, select Not an issue; resolved by default.
If the plugin does have an issue, select Confirmed; will fix as soon as possible. The developer must then fix and improve the plugin accordingly. After the fix is complete, complete the following two steps:
Publish a new plugin version again under Release Management.
Fill in the plugin update record in the Plugin Update Application Form to enter the plugin update acceptance process.
Maintenance Requirements
Issues submitted by users must be handled by the developer within 24 hours after the form is submitted. The developer must confirm the issue and fix it as soon as possible based on its severity.
Issues that seriously affect user operations, meaning that the user’s business will be interrupted if the issue is not fixed, must be fixed and released in a new version within 3 days.
Issues that do not seriously affect user operations may be fixed within 7 days.
Note: If the developer fails to fix the issue on time and causes losses to users, the platform will reclaim the plugin. From that date onward, all revenue generated by the plugin will belong to the platform, and the developer of the plugin will be changed to the Jodoo Open Platform official account.
