Dear Users,
We are pleased to announce that Jodoo will perform a "Runtime Version & Dependency Upgrade" on the evening of August 19, 2026. This upgrade aims to enhance system security, improve compatibility, and ensure a smoother and more reliable experience for all users.
After the upgrade:
Newly created custom plugins will use the updated runtime versions (Node.js 24 / Python 3.14).
Existing plugins may encounter minor compatibility issues, though simple plugins are generally unaffected.
What Do You Need to Do?
To ensure your custom plugins continue to function smoothly, we kindly recommend the following steps:
Please switch to the new runtime version before November 1, 2026.
You can do this by navigating to the Custom Plugins section and clicking Plugin Design > Backend Function > Code to update the version and test compatibility.
If you have end customers using the plugins you developed, be sure to check whether their plugin versions have been updated to ensure compatibility. Pay special attention to any potential impact on their operations during this upgrade process.
Transition Plan for Environment Update
To ensure a seamless transition, the upcoming update will be implemented in three phases:
Phase 1: Coexistence Period (August 19, 2026 - November 1, 2026)
The new runtime environment will be launched alongside the existing one.
Newly created custom plugins will use the upgraded environment, while previously created plugins will remain on the old version.
Existing plugins can switch between the old and new runtimes during this period (deprecation hint only).
Phase 2: Phase-Out Preparation (November 1, 2026 - January 1, 2027)
Both the old and new environments will remain accessible, but new functions can only be created on the new runtime.
Functions created after November 1, 2026 cannot revert to the old runtime. Follow on-page instructions to complete the upgrade.
Plugins created before November 1, 2026 will continue to run on the old runtime as-is.
Phase 3: Full Upgrade Completion (After January 1, 2027)
The old version will be fully deprecated.
Any plugins not upgraded during the preparation phase will be automatically migrated to the new environment.
