When a member submits a workflow, the submission may fail with the error message "Transition Conditions Not Met" .This article explains why this happens and how to troubleshoot it.
Cause
If the submitted record does not meet the proceeding conditions configured in the workflow, the workflow cannot proceed to the next node.
The member needs to update the record to meet the conditions, or the admin needs to adjust the workflow settings.
How to Troubleshoot?
Step 1 Finding the Failed Record
Go to Manage Data, find the record that failed to submit, and open its details.
Step 2 Checking Updates
In Updates, check which workflow node failed to submit and the reason for the failure.
Step 3 Checking Chart
Switch to Chart to check the Workflow version, Current node and Next node.
Step 4 Checking the Workflow Version
Go to the workflow design page and select the version that matches the failed record. For example, if the workflow version shown in Chart is V1, select V1 in the workflow design page.
Step 5 Checking the Flow Line and Proceeding Conditions
In this example, the submission fails at Approval Node 1, and the next node is Approval Node 2.
Check the flow line between these two nodes and its proceeding conditions.
Go back to the failed record in Manage Data and check the field value.
Solution
Update the failed field and resubmit the workflow. If the proceeding conditions are configured incorrectly, the admin can adjust them in the workflow settings.
