Data Processing Permission in Dashboard
Introduction
Functions
If you have the data processing permission, you can edit, delete, and add data in a chart.
The followings are the charts that support data processing and the processing permission in these charts.
Note: You can only change approvers and end a workflow in a workflow form.
Data Processing Permission | Detail Table | Spreadsheet | Calendar | Pivot Table |
Process Data on Data Detail Page | Edit Delete Copy Change Approver End | Edit Delete Copy Change approver End | Edit Delete Copy Change approver End | / |
Process Data in Chart Directly | Export | Add Import Export Delete Batch Edit | Add Import | Export Batch Print |
Application Scenarios
In a dashboard, you need to set data management permissions for members.
For example, in the PSI (Purchase/Sale/Inventory), you can view your daily sales in a dashboard and update your purchase plan.
Preview
After data permissions are set, members with permissions can directly edit the data in a detail table.
Processing Data on Data Detail Page
You can process the data on a data detail page as follows:
Detail Table | Spreadsheet | Calendar |
Edit Delete Copy Change approver End | Edit Delete Change approver End | Edit Delete Copy Change approver End |
Note: The permissions mentioned above are all the permissions you can have. If you set part of the permissions to a member, the member will not have the rest of permissions to process data.
Setting Procedure
If a member needs to go to the data detail page to process data, you should set corresponding permissions for the member.
1. Detail Table
When editing a detail table, tick User member permissions on handling single record beneath Actions to set data processing permission for a member when the member visits the detail table.
User member permissions on handling single record refers to the data processing permission set in the form for a user member. You need to set the permission in the form and then tick User member permissions on handling single record in the detail table.
2. Spreadsheet & Calendar
In Spreadsheet and Calendar, the access permission for members is Same As Member by default. The permission includes the viewing permission and the processing permission. You do not need to and cannot set processing permissions for a single record in Spreadsheet and Calendar.
Preview
Click the data details in the detail table and click Edit to update records.
Processing Data in Chart Directly
You can import, export, batch delete, and batch edit data without clicking the data details. In different charts, you can have different actions.
Detail Table | Spreadsheet | Calendar | Pivot Table |
Export | Add Import Export Delete Edit | Add Import | Export |
Setting Procedure
You have to manually set processing permissions for a detail table and a pivot table. For a spreadsheet and a calendar, the access permission for members is Same As Member by default.
Note: The permission configured in a from and the supported processing in a dashboard determine the processing permission in a spreadsheet and a calendar.
Demonstration
Move your mouse pointer to a button in a chart to view the button. Click the button to process the data accordingly.
For example, export and print the available data in batches.
Notes
1. In batch printing a pivot table, the maximum of 300 columns can be printed. If the columns you need to print are more than 300, the system will give you a prompt when you click Batch Print.
You can click Batch Print to print all the permitted data when printing a detail table or a spreadsheet. For details, see Batch Print (Data).
