Data Linkage FAQ

Q: What is the cause of Data Linkage failure?

If you fail to set Data Linkage or fail to retrieve data through the feature, refer to the following troubleshooting solutions:

1. Check whether multiple data linkage conditions are all met. Linkage setting can be triggered only when all conditions are met.

2. Check whether the field properties are consistent. The field properties that trigger linkage must be consistent before setting data linkage. Otherwise, see Rules of Data Linkage.

Q: Can Data Linkage link image and attachment fields?

No. The fields that support data linkage include: Single Line, Multi Line, Number, Date&Time, Single Select, Multi Select, Subform, member, and department fields. Other fields are not supported.

Q: Can the linked form be an aggregate table or an output table from Data Factory?

Yes. Choose Data Linkage Settings > Linkage Form, and select an aggregate table or output table.

Q: Why data cannot be selected when you set the linkage of subforms?

When you set the linkage of a subform, you need to select the entire subform, not a single subfield in the subform.

Q: Can I set data linkage for form fields to display the content of subform fields?

No. The fields in forms can be linked with those in other forms.

Q: Can I set data linkage for subform fields to display the content of form fields?

When Data Linkage is set for a subform field, only the content of the form fields can be displayed.

When Data Linkage is set for the whole subform, only the content of subform fields can be displayed in linkage.

Q: When I set the subform data linkage, why does the system prompt "Please complete the data linkage condition configuration"?

After setting Subform show as Subform, you have to click Add SubField to set the specific subfield linkage:

Q: Can the linkage of a whole subform show multiple subform records at the same time?

When linkage conditions are the same:

1. If multiple subform records are submitted together, they can be shown simultaneously;

2. If multiple subform records are not submitted together (such as submitting only one record at a time), they cannot be shown simultaneously, and the first submitted record will be shown.

Note:

If you need to obtain subform data submitted multiple times, you can use Select Data. For details, see Select Data.
