Auto-Filter of Data in Current Department and all Supervised Departments

Feature(s)

In the following scenarios, Jodoo supports to set dynamic filters for current departments and all supervised departments to help department heads manage data of sub-departments:

  • In permission sets, filter the data by Current department and all supervised departments to manage data.
  • When members access the permission set, filter the data by Current department and all supervised departments to view data.
  • When the admin accesses Manage Data, filter the data by Current department and all supervised departments to view data.
  • When designing charts, filter the data by Current department and all supervised departments to display data.
  • When accessing a dashboard, filter the data by Current department and all supervised departments to view data.

Note:

The current department and all supervised departments refer to the department of the current user and subordinate departments.

Application Scenario(s)

Business supervisors often need to view or manage the data of the current department and its supervised departments, such as:

  • A sales supervisor views all the order data of the major sales departments and various sales teams to analyze abnormal data.
  • An HRBP supervisor views the talent information of the current department and all sub-departments to facilitate regular talent review, optimize the organizational structure, and improve employee efficiency.

Application Scenario(s)

In Permission Set by Admins

Go to Publish > Add Member to set Publish to Members, select Custom in Member Permission, click Data > Add Condition, and tick Current department and all supervised departments to filter department fields.

Accessing Permission Set by Members

If members have permission to view the department fields in the form, they can filter and view the data of department fields by Current department and all supervised departments in the permission set.

In Manage Data by Admins

When admins access Manage Data, they can filter the data by Current department and all supervised departments through department fields in the form.

As Filters by Admins when Designing Charts

When editing a chart, the admin can add department fields as filter conditions and select the Current department and all supervised departments to dynamically filter the data of departments.

Accessing a Dashboard by Members

If a filter is set to department fields in a dashboard, members can filter and view the data by Current department and all supervised departments.

Notes

When selecting the Current department and all supervised department for data filtering, data of up to 200 departments and sub-departments are displayed. If there are more than 200 departments, data from the top 200 departments created earlier will be displayed.
