Enabling and Disabling Members

Updated over 2 weeks ago

What's the feature?

In Contacts, the Member Enable/Disable feature allows you to deactivate or reactivate members as needed. Disabled members will no longer participate in enterprise operations or collaboration. They can be re-enabled at any time if needed.

Where Can You Use It?

If you want to synchronize the complete organizational structure without including all members in active use, you can choose to sync members as disabled. After the sync is complete, selectively enable the members who need access to Jodoo.

What Does It Look Like?

Each member profile clearly indicates whether the account is enabled or disabled.

Administrators can filter the member list by enabled or disabled status.

Feature Availability

This feature is available on Jodoo Business Edition and above. For details, contact our Sales Team.

How to Set It Up?

Enable/Disable Members

Bulk Enable/Disable

Navigate to All Members or any department, select multiple members from the list on the right, and you can bulk Enable or Disable selected members.

Enable/Disable Individual Member

Select a single member and click the button from the action panel on the right to enable/disable the member.

Note:

Once a member is disabled, they can no longer access the organization.
Once re-enabled, the member regains all original permissions.

Filtering Members by Status

You can quickly filter members by their enabled/disabled status using the filter feature at the top-right corner.

What Does It Look Like?

Enabled Status

On PC

Enabled members can log into their Jodoo account normally and see their profile showing a status of Enabled.

Mobile

Admins can view the status from the mobile app by checking the member's profile.

Disabled Status

On PC

Disabled members cannot access the company. Their profile will show a status of Disabled.

Mobile

Admins can view the Disabled status from the mobile app.

Rules for Enabling/Disabling Members

  • Disabled members do not occupy licensed user seats.

  • Members added via manual invite, Excel import, public invite link, API, etc., will be enabled by default.

  • Members in a “Being Invited” state are always considered enabled and cannot be disabled until they accept the invitation.

  • Admins (creators/admins) cannot disable themselves.

  • Admins and creators cannot be disabled by others. To disable an admin, their admin role must first be revoked.

  • Regular members and regular admins can be disabled by users with the appropriate permissions.

  • Disabled active members can be converted to departed status and will then appear under the Departed Members section.

  • When attempting to manually enable a previously disabled member, the action will fail if the number of currently enabled users has reached the User Limit.
