Rich Text

Updated today

What is the Rich Text Field?

The Rich Text Field allows users to format inputted text—such as bold, color, indentation, and lists—and supports inserting links and images. This is ideal for scenarios where you need a combination of text and images, advanced layouts, or complex information display.

When to Use?

  • Product Introduction: Add product descriptions, images, and customer case links.

  • Event Notification: Highlight event time and location in announcements.

  • Customer After-Sales: Customers can upload images to illustrate their after-sales requests.

Where to Find the Rich Text Field?

  1. Go to the form editing page.

  2. In the field selection panel, add a Rich Text field.

  3. Configure its properties on the right-hand side under Field Properties.

Notes:

  • You can add up to 3 Rich Text fields per form.

  • Rich Text fields cannot be used as subform fields and cannot be dragged into subforms.

  • Storage and editing of Rich Text fields are stable and reliable. The Beta label means that printing and import/export scenarios are not yet fully supported but will be improved in future updates.

  • Rich Text fields can be used in the Related Form field.

Basic Settings of the Rich Text Field

Initial Value Settings

Rich Text fields support two types of default values:

  • Custom

  • Data Linkage

When you choose "Custom", click "Settings" and enter your content in the editor.

Note:

When you choose "Data Linkage", the Rich Text field in the current form will use data from a Rich Text field in another form that meets specified conditions as the default value. For details, refer to the Data Linkage documentation.

More to Know

  1. Rich text fields currently do not support import, export, printing, or API writing.

  2. The width of rich text fields is fixed to a full row and cannot be adjusted.

  3. Rich text content will be stored in the system as HTML code, and the total number of characters in the code cannot exceed 30,000. Therefore, if the content is long, it is recommended not to use too many formatting options to avoid exceeding the storage limit.

  4. Rich text fields are not supported in the following scenarios:

  • Retrieval - linking to other form data

  • Record Title

  • Data Details - summary field

  • Push notifications - reminder text

  • AI Quick Form Filling

  • Batch modification

  • Formulas

  • View - grouped fields

  • Form submission validation

  • Node submission conditions

  • Automation Pro

  • Front-end Events

  • Data Factory

5. When viewing data in table view, rich text fields are displayed as plain text only (i.e., without any formatting such as color, bold, italic, or strikethrough). They will display normally when editing/viewing in the data details page or in the form filling page.
