What is System Locale?

With System Locale, admins can customize display formats based on their business needs, including date, time, and number formats. This ensures that information displayed in Jodoo follows the conventions commonly used by the business.

Note: The following content is not affected by System Locale settings:

User-defined content, such as numbers entered in forms, values of Date&Time fields, and date or number formats configured in forms or dashboards.
The counting part of a Serial No. field. As it is stored as a string, it is not affected by the number format.
Date and time formats of System Fields.

When to Use System Locale?

Display conventions vary across countries and regions. Admins can customize how information is displayed in Jodoo to match the conventions used by their business.

For example, admins can:

Standardize display formats across different branches to avoid confusion caused by regional differences.
Adapt Jodoo to the data formats commonly used by their business.

What Does It Look Like?

Take date and time formats as an example. After setting Date Format to M/dd/yy and Time Format to 12-hour, dates and times across Jodoo, such as those displayed in Workflow Center, will follow these formats consistently.

How to Set System Locale?

Step 1 Entering the Setting Page

The business owner or super admins can go to Management > Business Settings, and click Set next to System Locale, as shown below.

Step 2 Configuring System Locale

In System Locale, select a Country/Region first. Jodoo will automatically configure the remaining settings based on the Common Locale Data Repository (CLDR) conventions.

Admins can still adjust these settings manually. After confirming the settings, click OK to save them.

Setting	Description
Country/Region	Select the appropriate country or region based on your business needs.
Date Format	Provides multiple year, month, and day formats. Select the format you need.
Time Format	Supports two time formats: 12-hour and 24-hour.
Number Format	Thousands Separator: You can use a period (for example, `123.456`), comma (for example, `123,456`), or space (for example, `123 456`) as the separator. Decimal Separator: You can use a period (for example, `0.12`) or comma (for example, `0,12`) as the separator.

Note: To avoid confusion, the Thousands Separator and Decimal Separator must use different symbols.

Step 3 Viewing the Current Settings

Hover over the question mark icon next to System Locale to quickly view the format settings for the current region without opening the settings page.
