Configuring Triggered Actions

Introduction

A triggered action refers to the action to be triggered in the target form when you perform a trigger in the triggering form. For triggered actions, you can set triggered actions, select target forms, add filters, and set updated/created field values.

Triggered actions can be selected from Data Processing, Installed Plugins, and Custom Plugins.

Selecting a Target Form

Select a target form under Triggered Action. The form can be selected from the current app or another app. Only one target form can be selected when you set Triggered Action.

After the selection, will appear. If you need to view or modify the target form when adding filters or setting field values, click the button to jump to the Design page in the form.

Adding a Filter

If you choose Update Existing Data, Delete Existing Data, or Update or Create Data as a triggered action, you have to set filters. Only the data that meet the filters can be updated or deleted.

Setting Created/Updated Field Values

1. If you choose Create Record or Update or Create Data as a triggered action, you can set field values for the target form. If Automations are triggered, the pre-defined field values will be added to the target form as a new record.

2. If you choose Update Existing Data or Update or Create Data as a triggered action, you can set the field values to be modified in the target form. If Automations are triggered, the corresponding records in the target form that meet certain conditions will be updated based on the field values you set.

Then click Complete. After that, all your settings will be collapsed, making it easy to add multiple actions.

Multiple Triggered Actions

Multiple triggered actions refer to multiple actions to be triggered in one or multiple target forms when you perform a trigger in the triggering form.

Adding a Triggered Action

Click Add Action to add a triggered action. You can set up to five triggered actions for each automation.

Editing a Triggered Action

Select an triggered action and click Edit.

Deleting a Triggered Action

After clicking Edit to expand the triggered action, click to delete it.

1. You can set up to five triggered actions for one automation.

2. Trigger records of Automations can be viewed in Trigger History.
