Configuring a Workflow

Introduction

Feature(s)

A workflow is needed when multiple users need to submit data in a certain order.

An admin should configure nodes, approvers, and connections for the workflow beforehand. Submitted data will flow in the workflow as configured.

Application Scenario(s)

Workflow forms are forms that need to be handled by multiple users step by step. They are used when the data needs to be approved by the manager, like applications for leaves or expense reimbursements.

Take a repair workflow as an example:

1. An employee in the customer service department receives a call, records the client's name, address, problems, and so on, and submits the data to the manager of the maintenance department.

2. The manager receives the data and assigns a worker to repair the machine.

3. The worker repairs the machine, records the repair result, and returns the result to the manager.

4. The manager confirms the result and submits it back to the customer service department.

5. An employee of the customer service department receives the result, and makes a return visit to the customer.

6. The repair workflow is completed.

Setting Procedure

Where to Set

Configuring a workflow is a part of the workflow form designing process. You need to design a workflow form and add fields on the Design page first.

Then, you can configure the workflow on the Workflow page.
