What is a General Column Chart?

A general column chart is a graphical representation of data using columns of equal width but varying heights or lengths to indicate statistics.


When to Use a General Column Chart?

With a column chart, you can visualize data and make comparisons that can help to clearly show the proportionate difference between the various data.

How to Setup?

Step 1 Creating a General Column Chart

1. Select the dashboard where you need to create a chart, or you can create a new dashboard. Then click Stats, and choose the data source. The data source can be data from forms, the data factory, or aggregate tables.

2. Set the name, data permissions, and chart type (Column Chart Type > General Column Chart).

Step 2 Adding Fields to Dimension and Measure

Drag one field you want to analyze from the left field panel to Dimension and one to Measure.

If there are two fields in Dimension, the effect is as follows:

Step 3 Configuring Functions

Function configuration is to set the axes, data labels, and legend of a column chart. For details, see Settings.

Step 4 Configuring Component Style

After setting up Dimension and Measure of the column chart, you can configure the component style.

Note:

Component style settings will not be effective on mobile.
