Creating a Workflow

This passage will tell you what workflow is in Jodoo and how to create a workflow.

What is Workflow?

Workflow consists of nodes, approvers, and connections. A workflow is needed when multiple users submit data in a certain order. Submitted data will flow in the workflow as configured. Once a workflow is submitted, it will be transferred among approvers, from subordinates to superiors, for approval.

How to Create a Workflow?

Step 1 Adding a Workflow Form

Go to your App and click New to add a workflow form.

Step 2 Design the Workflow Form

You can add fields from the left panel and set Field Properties and Form Properties in Design. Click Save after finishing the settings.

After the workflow form is enabled, the settings of some fields and form permissions need to be consistent with those of workflow nodes.

Step 3 Configuring the Workflow

Workflow configuring constitutes setting Node Properties and Workflow Properties in Workflow. After finishing the settings, you can enable the workflow or save it temporarily.

Step 4 Setting Extension

After designing the form and workflow, go to Extension to optimate form settings.

Step 5 Publish the Workflow Form

You can publish the form and set different permissions for members after setting the form. You can also publish it to external members so that they can fill out the form.

When to Use Workflow?

In the case of attendance registration, you can create leave, travel, and overtime application forms through workflow forms. After managers approve the workflow, the result will be sent to the initiator.
In the case of purchase management, you can create a purchase contract form through workflow forms. After being approved by leaders, the workflow form can be printed directly.
In the case of customer management, you can create a service worksheet form through workflow forms. Customers can submit worksheet problems, and the workflow form will be transferred to the corresponding personnel to process.
