Workflow Expediting
Introduction
Functions
Workflow initiator can expedite the workflow. It can urge the approver to approve the workflow as soon as possible.
Application Scenarios
- It is urgent for the approver to approve the workflow and the initiator wants the approver to handle it at once;
- The approver is busy, and may forget or fail to handle it in time, while the workflow initiator is very anxious and wants the approver to approve it as soon as possible.

Setting Procedure
Where to Set
Select a workflow form. Click Edit > Workflow:
Add at least one member other than yourself as approvers. (If you are the initiator, you will not see the notification after expediting the workflow.)
Go to Workflow > Workflow Properties, enable Allow initiators to expedite, and click Save.
Rules
- Only the initiator can expedite a workflow and can expedite each node every 5 minutes;
- When the approver of the node includes the workflow initiator, the initiator will not be notified, only other approvers who have not approved the workflow will be notified;
- When there are no other approvers rather than the initiator, the Expedite button will not be displayed;
- When the expedited workflow is transferred, the approver in charge of the transferred workflow can see the expedited workflow in My Tasks.
Demonstration
Visit a workflow form and create a record.
Expediting in Jodoo:
When the approver of the workflow visits My Tasks, the workflow being expedited will display the red notification pattern as shown in the following image:

Setting Procedure
If you have set Workflow Notification, the approver can also receive a notification after you clicking Expedite.
If there is no Workflow Reminder being set, only the notification shown in section 2 will be pushed.
